Use Sydney Apartments, Not Hotels, To Save Yourself Money

If you're planning a visit to Australia, then you'll be glad to know you can save money on your accommodation by staying in Sydney apartments instead of regular hotels.

While there are plenty of excellent Sydney hotels to choose from, many business people and seasoned travelers elect to use some of the many available Sydney apartments instead.

These Sydney apartments are easy enough to find in the local phone book, but there's list to get you started available at the end of this article.

Just as your Australian hotels range from hostel (pension) standard up to five star luxury hotels, Sydney apartments can be found in every price bracket and level of service.

Many Sydney apartments are conveniently placed in the central business district (the Sydney CBD), while others are located in pleasant Sydney suburbs a little further out. Some, for example, and located near Sydney beaches such as Bondi, or Coogee, or Manly.

Most are easily reached by bus, and some are on a train route. Manly can be reached by bus as well, but it's more fun to take the ferry ride across Sydney's magnificent harbor to Circular Quay (pronounced Circular Key).

Whether you're looking for a large suite to hold a family of six or entertain business guests. Then maybe you'd prefer to keep the price right down and have a tiny studio one-room apartment. Whatever your requirements, there will be a Sydney apartment deal to save you money and make your stay in Australia a comfortable one.

Before you decide which of the many Sydney apartments will be the one for you, do some basic investigation for yourself.

You ought to contact maybe three places, and compare what they charge and what they offer. Then write a list of the places you'll visiting for business or pleasure, and check how each of the Sydney apartments you're considering is located in relation to those places.

Find out how far these Sydney apartments are from public transport (bus/ferry/train), and ask them how much the fares are and how often the services run. Then ask about cafes, restaurants, food supermarkets, entertainment and laundry facilities.

That way you'll enjoy your visit to Australia a little bit more, and you'll get the maximum use from your choice of the Sydney apartments available to you.

Life as the Ultimate Psychedelic Experience

Life is just a journey.
Princess Diana

Whether we are for or against psychedelic experiences, we have to be amazed with the possibilities and potential of a chemical that can expand our consciousness beyond our everyday awareness. The chemicals act as a catalyst to take away the rigid structures of our nerves which basically affect how we see the world. We know that before entering these sessions it is absolutely necessary to go through some preliminary ground rules so that you can be ready for what you are going to experience and so that you won't be overwhelmed by what you are about to experience.

While reading The Psychedelic Experience (Leary, Metzner, Alpert), I found out that there were a couple of points that a person entering a session should be aware of. As I read through these rules that a person should familiarize himself/herself with before undertaking a session, I realized these rules have a vastly more practical application to living life! It is a pity that no one gave us any rule book or manual on how to live life or to get the most out of life. There are so many experiences that we were not prepared for and could have used it to our benefit if we only knew how. Here are some of the rules taken directly from The Psychedelic Experience but modified to explain how they can be used as a powerful guide to living life at the fullest.

RULES FOR GETTING THE MOST OUT OF THE SESSION / LIFE EXPERIENCE

1. The experience is totally safe. The worst thing that can happen is that you emerge from the session unchanged.

Life is CHANGE! Nothing in life remains still. We were born with unlimited capabilities and potential within us. It is up to us to become aware of this truth! All the tools that we need to make our life better is already within us. We have no need to fear this world. It is just that during the process, through some misinformation, we have learned that we are helpless and that the situation is hopeless. It is not! There is absolutely nothing to fear from the experience of life. In fact, there is an unlimited amount to gain.

The obstacles that we face in life are like lifting weights. If we push back rather than give up, then we are building our muscles of action which will then lead to confidence. All obstacles are there as wake up calls for you to use your dormant tools and tap into your potential. As the manual says, the worst thing that can happen from this experience of life is that we go through it and remain unchanged; that we go through it and never use our unlimited potential. Remember, the experience is totally safe. Use what you have available and more will be given unto you. If you don't use what you already have, then even that which you possess will be taken away from you.

2. "All of the dangers which you have feared are unnecessary productions of your mind."*

How many of us live in fear? The list of the fears that we have in our society are endless. However, they can end immediately and at this very moment if we just realize one thing. All of these fears have no basis in reality! They are all "unnecessary productions of your mind". You mind creates these fears due to many factors. One of the society's strongest conditioning on us is the fear of making mistakes. We are so afraid of making mistakes that we are not even willing to take the action that it will take in order to ensure our success. Living life in fear is not really living. All of the great human beings that have been born in the world so far were not born that way. They had the same resources inside them that you now have inside you. The difference was that they realized their fears that obstructed them from their goals as "unnecessary productions of the mind" and then went on ahead with their actions. You can do the same and you should do the same if you want this experience of life to become something you cherish while you are alive. Don't let these fears limit your experience of this life session.

Would you be afraid of the dream if you knew it was a dream? Would you be afraid of the thrilling roller coaster ride, if you knew you would be safe at the end? You might be afraid of it, but don't let that stop you from enjoying the experience. You already know that nothing can harm you since life is safe.

3. "Whether you experience heaven or hell, remember that it is your mind which creates them."

In a psychedelic experience, depending on your state of mind, you can experience either heaven or hell. If your mind is in a negative state, it can then spiral out of control to give you the experience of hell. If your mind is in a resourceful and positive state, then that will spiral positively and give you a heavenly experience.

Is your life a heaven or a hell? Don't look very far to find the cause for your answer: it lies within you. Whatever situation you are faced with and how you see the world is a result of your own thoughts. If you have no control over your thoughts, then you will be pulled to wherever the thought goes and that can be to the depths of hell, or the highest heights of heaven. It is totally up to you. Do you see the reality, or do you superimpose your drama onto the reality? This will determine what you truly feel. Realize feelings are just that, feelings. Realize thoughts are just that, thoughts. In themselves they have no power. The power of it to affect you comes from what you make them out to be. The power comes from the stories you create around those feelings and thoughts. If you put yourself as the victims of those stories, then don't expect to experience heaven. However, if you have to make up a story, why don't you make up a positive one? The power is right there between your ears. What do you want to create: heaven or hell? It's in your mind.

3. Don't try to avoid a negative experience; it will just come back over and over again. It is only when you go through it, that you will be able to take in the total experience of the session.

During a psychedelic experience, if you are experiencing a bad "trip" then you shouldn't try to run away from it. Running away from something creates the illusion that it is really there, even when there is nothing. In the same way, the obstacles that confront you are not really problems; they are opportunities for you to grow. If you work through the obstacles, the lesson behind the challenge will enable you to grow so you can enjoy more of what life holds for you. However, if you run away from it, it will keep on coming back at you because it is something that you truly need to go through in order to grow. Are you going to accept the lesson, or will you keep on wasting the majority of your life running away from something that isn't really there.

I say that it isn't really there because it is not a threat. Remember that these rules are not independent of each other. There is no threat because this life experience is safe. That is the first cardinal rule that you have to remember. Therefore, don't run away from experiences that are meant for you to use your dormant resources. Embrace them and then grow so that you will become different as a result of this experience.

4. Don't get attached to the pleasant experience, it will not allow you to experience the session fully.

In this world, we are all searching for happiness. When a small happy event happens, we want to relive it over and over again. We have it in our memory and we replay it back to us in moments to cheer us up; it always remains with us. Don't do this because you are missing the present moment and what is happening to you right now. Don't let these priceless moments slip by because you were too attached to your happy moments. Live life and let it flow. Experience the most that you can. You are here for many experiences so don't hold on to just a handful for too long. Live your life and live it well. Embrace the moments as they come, and then let them go when it's time to let them go. Life has more for you to experience, don't just grab onto the trinket of one experience; take in the abundance of life in its totality.

5. "Avoid imposing the ego game on the experience."

The whole purpose of a psychedelic trip is to go beyond the self-created confines of your nervous system and your ego. You want to experience the experience without having to think about the experiencer. If you impose your own game on the experience, then you are not getting what the experience can offer you.

If you try to impose your ego game on the experience of life, you will only be suffering because you will not be experiencing what life can offer you. Limiting yourself to being someone or another will create your limitations. Don't define yourself because you are indefinable. Don't define what you should be doing because you won't hear the call of the greater things that life has for you. Go through life lightly and don't take your SELF seriously because there is none. There is only the experience of life and its unlimited potentialities.

In order to successfully go through the psychedelic experience with chemicals, the people have to familiarize themselves with these rules constantly so that it becomes a guide for what they should do in order to get the most out of it. In order to get the most out of life, we should constantly remind ourselves of these great principles as well. It is only when they become a part of you that you can enjoy this most far-out trip of all: YOUR LIFE.

Freebies

Freebees--Freebees--Freebees

WHY PAY, WHEN "YOU CAN HAVE IT FOR FREE?"

There are all sorts of things that we would like to have but we cannot always afford them. That is where Freebees come into play.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
People will tell you that there is no such thing as a 'free lunch.'
I don't know who first said it but it is as true now as it was then.
You can bet your boots that every thing that is on offer for free has a hidden catch.
Internet marketers use freebees in the hope that you will remember who gave it to you and purchase something from them at a later date.
I can't see any thing wrong with that. It's just good business practice.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As I said, there is a reason that they are offered for free. In almost every one of them you will find one or more links to other products or services that the person is promoting.

You are under no obligation to purchase any of these offerings. It is just another form of advertising.

Instead of being bombarded with demands to buy this or buy that, you are given something of value in the hope that you will click on one of their links and purchase something at a later date.

Don't decry the goods just because they are for free.

If they don't give good value, you are not likely to go back and buy from them later.

If you are selling information from your website and you haven't tried it yet, you are probably passing up on one of the strongest marketing strategies available to you.

There are thousands of e-books, reports and various other items out there that are available to you, all for free.

Collect a selection that are compatible with your product and offer them for free when someone buys your main product. Be sure to include a link to another one of your products towards the end of the package. Someone who has purched from you once, is most likely to purchase a 2nd or 3rd item if they were satisfied with the first transaction.

Make sure that they are of real value. Not just a selection of out-of-date trash that is of no use to anyone.

Every thing has a sales value. Let your customers know the retail value of the freebees you are offering. Be honest. There is no need to exaggerate the price.

Over sell. For instance: If you are selling something for $49.99. Offer a bundle of freebees worth $69.99 to go with it. It will cost you no more to offer a big bundle than a small one.

Don't over-do it. A product worth $30.00 with a bundle of freebees worth $150.00 is a little bit over the top.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
P S. There have been a number of surveys on pricing, with some interesting results. It would appear that the number seven has a particular magic. People are more likely to purchase an item with a seven at the end. ie. $39.97 rather than $29.99.
I don't know if it is true but I am going to try it.
Are You PR-Challenged?
You won't be if you accept a very simple premise. Here, in just two sentences, is your pathway to effective public relations. A pathway that lets you target the kind of stake- holder behavior change that leads directly to achieving your objectives.
People act on their own perception of the facts before them, which leads to predictable behaviors about which something can be done. When we create, change or reinforce that opinion by reaching, persuading and moving-to-desired-action those people whose behaviors affect the organization, the public relations mission is accomplished.
And what behavior changes they can be. Legislators who see you as a dynamic member of their business public; prospects deciding to patronize your enterprise; customers buying from you again and again; local thoughtleaders strengthening their relations with you; employees who value their employer, and on an on.
What it boils down to, is that people in your marketing area behave like everyone else ? they take actions based on their perceptions of the facts they hear about you and your organization.
So, you need to deal promptly and effectively with those perceptions by doing what you need to do to reach them with the right message. Your job is to persuade your stakeholders to your way of thinking and move them to take actions that lead to the success of your organization.
Here's one way to do exactly that.
Who are those important outside audiences whose behaviors have the most positive OR negative impacts on your enterprise? List them in the order of how negatively or positively those impacts affect you.
Working on the target audience in first place on your list, let's look at whether any of those perceptions out there are likely to morph into behaviors that can hurt your organization.
Assuming you don't want to make a large investment in a professional opinion survey, you and your colleagues must interact with members of that target audience and ask many questions: "What have you heard about us and our products or services? Have you done business with us? Do you have a bone to pick with us? Keep an eye peeled for hesitant or evasive responses, and watch for any negative undertones. Notice a misconception, inaccuracy or rumor? Jump on it right away!
The data you gather from such interaction lets you form a specific public relations goal. In other words, you get to decide exactly what perception out there you would like to alter so that it improves your chances of getting the behavior change you really want.
Now, unless you select the right strategy that tells you how to pursue that goal, nothing's going to happen. You're lucky there are just three strategies to choose from when you're dealing with matters of opinion: create perception/opinion where there isn't any, change existing opinion, or reinforce it. And be certain that your choice matches the needs of your goal. For example, if you aim to correct an inaccuracy, you need a strategy that changes existing opinion, not one that reinforces it.
As you might expect, you must now prepare the message that, hopefully, will alter the offending perception and lead to the desired behavior. Since it must clearly address the untruth, inaccuracy, rumor or misconception in a believable and compelling way, you've got your work cut out for you. Oh, the message must also be persuasive as it makes the case for your point of view.
Keep in mind that, to be successful, your message usually must alter what a lot of people may have come to believe. It's a big job, but as said in literary circles, "it's worth the candle."
How do you get this stunning message of yours to the right eyes and ears among members of your target audience?
Right! Communications tactics will do the job, and there are a ton of them at your disposal. From newsletters, press releases and letters-to-the-editor to brochures, consumer briefings, personal meetings, print and broadcast interviews and many others.
Soon, the question will arise, are we making any progress? At this point, you are wise to go back to those members of your target audience and ask the same questions you asked during your original perception monitoring session.
This time, however, you're looking for evidence that perceptions are being altered in your direction.
If you are the impatient type, you can always increase the beat by adding new communications tactics and increasing their frequencies. It's also worth re-examining your hard-won message not only for clarity and persuasiveness, but for factual effectiveness as well.
When it becomes obvious that the program has, in fact, persuaded many target audience stakeholders towards your way of thinking, you have a public relations success on your hands.
Childrens Friendships Made Easy
Most research into children's friendships shows that those children who are able to form friendships when they start school are happier at school and also learn better.
More significantly, a positive beginning to friendships has long-term implications for social and indirectly academic success.
Developing and maintaining friendships is a dynamic process. Most children experience some type of rejection from their peers throughout childhood. One study found that even popular children were rejected about one quarter of the time when they approached children in school.
Most children recover from such rejection. They move on and form constructive, worthwhile relationships but some children need help.
The results of number of studies indicate that children can be taught friendships skills. The strategies are simple and revolve around teaching children a range of friendly behaviours such as: talking with others while playing, showing an interest in others, smiling, offering help and encouragement when needed, a willingness to share and learning how to enter a game or social situation. It is also useful to teach some children alternatives to fighting and arguing when there is disagreement and conflict within groups.
Gender impacts on the ability to make friends. Professor Miraca Gross from the University of NSW has found that girls are further advanced along the stages of friendship than boys. Her research also indicates that gifted children were further advanced along the continuum of friendship behaviours than their peers. They look for more intimate friendships at a far younger age than their peers. This challenges the perception that only gifted children have poor social skills ? it seems that they have a different concept of friendships than those around them.
Children form friendships inside and outside of school and their regular day settings. It has been noted by some researchers that children who appear to have no friends at school frequently have networks of friends outside school.
It seems that having friends outside school can be quite an insulating factor to teasing and bullying that can occur within the school gate.
Parents often become quite concerned about an apparent lack of friends that a child has compared to a sibling or a friend. One research project indicated that children on average have only two significant friendships at any one time. Anecdotal evidence suggests that seconds frequently have more friends than the elder siblings and only children prefer one-on-one friendships to group relationships.
Generally parents need to do little more than provide social situations for children to build and maintain friendships. Involvement in some activities (but not so many that a child's life is full), opportunities for visits to friend's homes and to have friends visit your home and some help making sense some of the less satisfactory social situations a child may encounter are the main fare for parents in this area.
However some coaching on how to make and keep friends may be desirable when children really do have difficulty making and keeping friends.
Choosing a Phone and Voice Mail System
Phone and voice mail systems can be pretty costly, even for companies with a low number of users. Before investing in any type of phone system or voice mail system, you need to estimate how much your company is likely to expand over the next few years. Failure to do this could cost you or your company a lot of money in upgrade and restructuring costs further down the road. It is better and cheaper to plan and allow for expansion at an early stage, than wait until it is too late.
If you plan to remain under ten users then I would recommend you invest in a KSU-less system. Basically these look like normal phones that carry all the technology and software needed to run a small phone system of up to four lines and eight to twelve extensions. These systems offer many of the features that a full PBX phone system offers. Be sure to check with your supplier what features are available on these types of phone systems.
These systems are relatively cheap compared to other types of phone systems. They are also easy to install, so can be quickly re-located to another location. This type of phone system usually comes as a boxed product that is installed by you, and carries a manufacturer's warranty. You will have to make enquiries with your vendor as to the level of after sales support that is available. You may find it is much less than if you had purchased a larger more expensive system.
One major disadvantage of KSU-less phone systems, is that they cannot integrate a separate voice mail system. If you do choose to purchase one of these KSU-less phone systems, then you will have to use a voice mail service that is offered by your telephone company.
If you decide that you must have a fully featured voice mail system, and can confidently predict your company will expand beyond ten users within next few short years, then you will be better off investing in a proper fully featured KSU phone system. These systems are typical in companies with around forty users. Some suppliers may recommend installing something called a Hybrid phone system. These systems are ideal for small to mid sized companies of about fifty to a hundred employees, and offer many of the features much larger PBX systems offer.
Below is a check list for when you are selecting a new phone and voice mail system and supplier:
1. Try to estimate how much your company will grow in the next three to five years. Look at how many lines and extensions you have at the moment and decide how many your company may require in the future.
2. Contact potential suppliers, and arrange an appointment with them for a full demonstration. A number of these can be sourced off the internet or through your local business pages. This will also give them a good opportunity to have a look at you and evaluate your potential requirements. Remember to ask them about their experience and if necessary ask for referrals. You could even ask to see a system they have recently installed.
3. Make sure you decide on a rough budget for your proposed new telephone and voice mail system. Ask around other businesses of similar size, what they have invested in their systems.
4. When potential suppliers provide you with a quote for your new phone system, go through them carefully, ensuring they include all of the requirements your business will need. These may include extras like; Voice mail, additional handsets, call handling software, automated attendants, service level agreements (SLA's) and any other additional features.
5. Once you have decided on one or two suppliers, it is time to get them back round. Remember, they want your business. Bearing in mind the budget you decided earlier, make your decision based upon not only price, but which supplier you think can provide your company with the best service before, during and after the installation of your new phone and voice mail system. Any good potential supplier will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the phone system they intend to supply and install for you.
Thanks for reading
High Risk Personal Loans ? Revive Frustrated Loan Hunting Attempts with High Risk Loans
Bad credit seems like an unfinished business, you can't shake it off, and you can't move on without putting it away. Unfinished business is meant to be finished. Further your bad credit history is decoded as a "high risk" condition. You can feel its reverberations since you are probing for high risk personal loans. So, are there any lenders offering high risk personal loans? Yes, there are many loan packages for those who are fighting to get high risk personal loans.
No good thing comes easily; such is the case with high risk loans. A well sketched out plan is basic to high risk personal loans. For a high risk personal loan the beginning should be with finding out your credit score. It is highly disadvantageous when you submit an application for high risk personal loans and don't know what your credit score is. Enlightenment about your credit score will undoubtedly facilitate your own footing in front of the loan lender. Make sure you are contacting the right credit agency for your credit score. If you are sure about your credit history you would know what kind of high risk personal loan product will suit your standing.
A few generalizations about credit score may prove healthy for you to advance with high risk personal loans. The bottom line is very few people can actually escape high risk credit status. This is primarily because perfect credit is usually not achievable like perfection itself. Therefore, if you joining the queue of people applying of high risk personal loans don't be shocked. It is rather easy to get to the status of high risk borrower.
You can get high risk credit rating for any reason. Many people are caught unaware when they are marked as high risk borrowers. Frauds and errors in repayment terms are obvious reasons for getting a high risk grade but sometimes one might get adverse credit history for the simple reason of not living at one address for long. Loan lenders have matured their outlook towards high risk borrowers and increasingly offer personal loans.
The term credit score may seem intimidating but it is proffered to make loan process easier. Based on the credit score the loan lenders have produced a grading system. The grades range from A to D which is in the decreasing level of credit rating. These credit scores refer to your credit worthiness in relation to high risk personal loan. If your credit score ranges from 560 to 500 then it implies that you are now a high risk borrower. If you fall in these category then high risk personal loans are meant for you. A loan lender would take a good look at the credit score before providing you with high risk personal loans.
High risk personal loans would tag along itself higher rate of interest. Bankrupt, arrears, foreclosure, late payments, or any court case - you are termed a high risk borrower if you have any of these terms were ever reported in your credit report. Higher rate of interest on high risk personal loans compensate for the increased risk payment. Some loan lenders specifically provide high risk personal loans. They have great personal loans packages tailor made for your condition. So, in case you can't meet the traditional lending criteria apply for high risk personal loans.
Internet is a good place to start your high risk personal loan research. It is encumbered with information about financial services offering personal loans to high risk borrowers. Use the internet to get quotes, and any charges for conveyance and surveying or for any pre payment penalties. Search carefully for a site on the net, for the variety offered can be at times confusing. Every high risk borrower would need different high risk personal loans. Different circumstances require different personal loan programme.
A High risk personal loan can be used for many purposes like education, vacation, home improvement, debt consolidation, wedding and any other personal purpose. High risk personal loans can be either secured or unsecured. Secured personal loans for high risk borrowers would require pledging their property. Unsecured personal loans would mean no property guarantee but higher interest rates.
Renovate your status as a high risk borrower by the vehicle of high risk personal loans. Maintain your monthly payments and you will be able to get good credit on your credit report. But all your effort at establishing credit would be a waste if your lender does not report your credit performance to an established credit agency. Ask the lender for their policy and in case they report credit, you can ask for an application.
You could be a bankrupt, you could have been the director of the company who got bankrupt, you may have made faults while making repayments, you could have a county court judgment against you - you can come from any background and still get high risk personal loans. Let them call you "high risk", you are getting a personal loan.
A Faux Pas Is A Mistake In A Tuxedo
Everyone who is anybody has a hobby or at least entertains the idea. Hobbies range from sports to crafts to reading and even traveling. Some hobbies don't make sense to me like collecting dead insects.
My long established hobby has earned me a membership in the POP (People Observing People) Culture. The rules specify that each member must swear not to divulge anything observed.
Being a minister, I'm not allowed to swear, so I am exempted from this rule.
I love to get a nice hot cup of coffee, a local newspaper and situate myself where I can see the most people in their natural environment. Nothing is more hilarious than observing people who don't realize they are being watched.
Don't get me wrong here, I love people. All sorts of people. I would never unduly make fun of anyone - well almost anyone. Everybody has something about him or her interesting and worth observing.
One of my favorite authors, F. W. Boreham, made this observation: Leave your house early in the morning and the first person you meet take him or her aside and write their biography. Of course, the person will not conceive anything interesting about his or her life, and that's the way most people are. We think everybody else is more interesting than our life.
The average person, in my opinion, leads a more interesting life than almost all celebrities, except for Elvis who is more popular dead than alive.
As an expert in the POP Culture, the most interesting thing about people can be summed up in one word: mistakes.
Mistakes are the common characteristics of all those addicted to oxygen. Other similarities exist among people, but this one thing supercedes culture, time, age and gender. Everybody at some time to some degree makes mistakes.
Two kinds of people populate our planet: those who admit their mistakes and those who don't.
Now, a mistake is not just a mistake. There are categories and degrees of mistakes. Let me list a few categories and see which one fits into your lifestyle.
The first category would be, inaccuracies. It is easy to get something wrong when dealing with numbers, especially dialing telephone numbers. Not long ago my wife, who works as my secretary, dialed a number for me. I can't remember now who we were trying to call, but I do remember who we really got.
My wife dialed the number and as soon as it started to ring, she handed the phone to me. When I put the receiver to my ear, I heard a sultry voice invite me to do things I had never considered before in my life.
Her words sent shockwaves down to the soles of my feet and back to the top of my head, only to repeat the procedure several times. I had heard of such things but I never heard it personally.
I immediately scowled at my wife and demanded, "What number did you dial?"
"I dialed the number you gave me," she said rather flippantly.
"Okay," I quipped, "listen to this."
I handed the telephone back to her and watched her eyes explode and her mouth drop open. She quickly gave it back to me, but I didn't want it either.
Inadvertently, she had dialed some phone sex number. We both went to the restroom to wash out our ears.
Another category, omission. This is where I get into a lot of trouble with my wife. It is not that I'm negligent but I do have the odd moment where certain bits of information are temporarily obscure from any immediate recall. Like when I go to the grocery store for my wife and get everything but what she sent me for in the first place.
How this happens befoggles my mind.
Misunderstanding represents another category. I really do not understand this one. I have been accused of misunderstanding some very simple instructions from You Know Who.
I sincerely miss my understanding but for now, I'll simply overlook it.
Blunder is still another category of mistakes. In this group, the mistake is rather innocent. It might be a result of some tiny oversight. After all, nobody can see and remember everything.
If there were awards for blunders, I would have a shelf full of trophies.
The list can go on and on. However, my experience as a card-carrying member of the POP Culture brings me to the conclusion that the quintessential mistake is the faux pas. If anyone knows about mistakes, it is the French. Just saying it gives one the feeling of something tremendously special.
A faux pas is simply a mistake in a tuxedo.
A faux pas can cover any and all mistakes. A simple procedure is associated with this. When you realize that you've just committed a faux pas, place three fingers from your right hand, never your left and never four fingers although two will work fine, across your mouth while extending your pinky. Then giggle and say, "Oh, pardon my faux pas." Then roll your eyes upward.
This is most useful when in heavy traffic and you've just cut in front of another driver. Your faux pas gesture will be immediately acknowledged by the driver in the car extending a solitary digit upwards. This is merely a friendly gesture recognizing your faux pas.
Of course, the superb response to every mistake is found in the Bible. "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:16 KJV.)
As someone once said, "confession is good for the soul." Do a little soul-work this week.
Saltwater Fishing Tips
Get Rid Of Sharks
Sharks buggin' you? To get rid of them pour some fish blood on a paper towel or newspaper and roll it into a ball. Toss it overboard and the sharks will follow it with the current.
Many anglers move much too quickly from spot to spot. Many times a hot spot is passed right over. Don't just cast out a couple times and move on ? probe it thoroughly from the deepest point right up to the most shallow. Try at least two different lures/bait.
Fishing on the perimeter
Always try the edges of the perimeter first, instead of plopping your bait or lure into the middle. If you do hook a fish in the middle, it will scare the others away, but if you "milk" the edges of the perimeter first, you can later move into the unsuspecting ones in the middle.
Surf fishing
With surf fishing, remember that fish are tight against the shore, so make most of your casts parallel to the sand. Don't send your cast out too far.
The best tides range from half rising to half falling ? especially when early or late in the day. Of course, if there is bait, the predators will always be there, but it just makes it easier if fishing during the half tides.
If you fish by an inlet, fish in the outgoing water which brings the bait out to sea. This will hold the best action for strikes. Just let the outgoing water carry your bait out in a natural way.
Find a beachfront ? they all of their share of structures such as holes, pockets, rocks, reefs, and other things. These will hold fish, and locating them is critical if you want success. Also find spots where channels lead to deep water ? these will often times hold game fish. The fish usually follow these deeper channels until food is found.
Fish aggressively by walking back and forth and fishing areas that appear likely to hold fish. You can see the boils of feeding fish in hot spots ? and keep an eye out for bait. Watch the birds as well; they are one of the best indicators of fish in the area.
Obviously, use the freshest live-bait possible, and change it often. You really want your bait on bottom, with a lighter weight ? this will give you the best chance for stimulating strikes.
When using lures, use ones that can be cast easily. Switch out often to get to different depths, and experiment with the speed of retrieve. Use finer-diameter monofilament line because it gives better action to both natural baits and artificial lures.
If you hook a big one, keep it in front of you as you wind it in ? running as you need to. As you bring it close, it will make a few runs out ? just drop your tip and let it go. When it gets really close, use the waves to bring it even closer ? timing it.
Fresh Shrimp
When you have live shrimp that you are going to fish, it is important to make sure they are alive and kicking ? they will catch more fish this way. Keep them uncrowded, well aerated, and cool.
Use an ice chest as a shrimp box. It has a strong lid that can double as a seat, a plug for easy draining, and is well insulated to help ward off the bait-killing heat.
Instead of using ice to keep the shrimp cool, freeze water in plastic bottles so that when the ice melts it won't dilute the water and kill the shrimp. When the shrimp is failing to get strikes, use brightly colored shrimp by dying them with food coloring. This will stimulate strikes if regular colored shrimp aren't working.
Shrimp Bait
Using sand shrimp as bait is an excellent choice because it is a popular meal for bottom feeders. Additionally, it gives of a big scent, which will attract them.
Unfortunately, they are fragile and almost impossible to keep on a hook.
Use a safety pin hook designed especially to hold soft baits like sand shrimp. The pin of the hook should run the full length of the back of the bait, leaving the tail and pincers free to move. Some people use a few turns of lead wire, the kind used for weighting flies, to help hold the shrimp.
Storing jigs
Large saltwater jigs are not only heavy but also bulky. Finding a place to store them safely and conveniently can be a problem. Use a five-gallon plastic bucket with a lid. Just below the bucket's lip, drill or punch equidistant holes all the way around. Place the jigs inside, hanging them through the holes from their big hooks. Pop the top back on; label the bucket, and presto! Your lures are stored in a safe, untangled and accessible container.
Bad Credit? No Credit? Yeah, Its a Problem.
Many companies use the slogan "Bad Credit? No Credit? No Problem!" The truth is that it is in fact a problem and there is no easy way to correct it. It takes a lot of time and effort to obtain credit when you do not have any and even longer to fix bad credit. The first step to solving these credit problems is to understand what your credit score means. In doing this, you will have a better idea of how to fix it.
Creditors use a point system to evaluate your credit. The more points you have, the better your credit is. These are some typical scoring methods used by most creditors.
* Age -Under 21= 0 points -24-64 = 2 points -65+ = 0 points
* Marital Status -Single = 0 points -Married = 1 point -Divorced = 0 points
* Number of Dependants -None = 0 points -1-3 = 1 point -Over 3 = 0 points
* Current Residence -Living with family or friends = 0 points -Living in an apartment = 1 point -Living in a home that you are buying = 3 points -Living in a home that is paid for = 4 points
* Previous Residence (Varies with creditors) -0-5 years = 0 points -5 or more = 1 point
* Employment History (Each creditor determines whether the job is considered skilled, unskilled or professional) -Unskilled job = 1 point -Skilled job = 2 points -Professional job = 3 points
* Income per Month (Varies with creditors) -$800.00 = 1 point -$100.00 = 2 points -$1500.00 = 3 points -$1800+ = 4 points
* Current Debt per Month -0 - $300.00 = 1 point -$301.00 - $500.00 = 2 points -$500 or more = 3 points
* Previous Credit
-A loan in good standing with the agency you are now applying with = 4-5 points
-A loan in good standing with any other agency = 2-3 points
* Savings or Checking Account Information
$500.00 in a checking or saving that has been open for 6 months or more = 2 points
* Having a phone in your name is worth another 2 points.
When you add these up you should have anywhere from fifteen to twenty points in order to secure a loan. If one creditor turns you down, keep trying. Each creditor has a unique set of guidelines they use to determine whether or not a loan is given. If you need to boost your credit score, try getting a loan using a co-signer or a secured loan and pay it back before it is due, or apply for a credit card.
